Sources...Interviews.

Today, Bianca. Rei and I went to Nex to interview people.

At first we interviewed someone in Nex but an employee at a jewelry store began looking at us suspiciously. It was then that we realized that interviews should not be conducted in the mall. Hence, we changed our venue to outside Nex.

We interviewed several students at the bus stop near the taxi stand. After 2-3 hours, we interviewed about 10 people between the ages 12 to 20. On the same day, we went to Nex library to research more about social media. Although there were a limited variety of books on the subject, we found a number of books in the end.  All the suitable books we’ve found assisted us in the presentation later on. Here are some photos(:

Some interview results.

We think it would not be very nice if we put up the actual footage and recording of the interviews that we conducted. We never received permission to do so. Thus, we shall just give you some of the answers that we got.

From our interviews, the most popular social networking sites among teenagers were definitely Facebook and Twitter.

Most people said that they used these sites for getting to know their friends through reading their posts and profiles.

However, there was a boy who said that he used Facebook to play games, and a girl said that she enjoyed using YouTube the most of all, because there were great talents there.

Many people said that social networking had affected them both positively and negatively. Positively in the social aspect, and negatively in the academic aspect.
